In the summer of 2016,  Elizabeth Watts (born in KENT, UK) and Jean Schweyer (raised in HAEGEN, France) began KENTAEGEN a multi-disciplinary studio where they draw across their experiences to offer a comprehensive interior design service as well as a range of unique furniture and objects designed and fabricated in their atelier. Encompassed within their work is a strong investment in the process, and the intention to develop their ideas into coveted pieces.

Durant l'été 2016, Elizabeth Watts (née à KENT, Royaume-Uni) et Jean Schweyer (né à HAEGEN, France) ont créé KENTAEGEN un studio multidisciplinaire où ils puisent dans leurs expériences pour offrir des services complets de design d'intérieur ainsi qu'une gamme de meubles et d'objets uniques conçus et fabriqués dans leur atelier. Leur travail comprend un investissement dans l’élaboration et l'intention de développer leurs idées en pièces convoitées.

Prior to forming KENTAEGEN Elizabeth was working at ‘Moreno:Masey Architects + Interiors’ producing award-winning interiors for commercial clients ‘Gourmet Burger Kitchen’ and ‘Nando’s’. She has also worked in the art department producing graphics and props for the BBC in the UK and France Television in France. Elizabeth is an Associate of the British Institute of Interior Design. She has a degree in Architecture from the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London, and studied Product Design at Central Saint Martins - now University of the Arts - London.

Avant de créer KENTAEGEN, Elizabeth a travaillée chez «Moreno: Masey Architects + Interiors», produisant des design de intérieurs primés pour les clients commerciaux ‘Gourmet Burger Kitchen’ et ‘Nando’s’. Elle a également travaillée dans le département artistique de la BBC et de France Television, produisant des graphismes et des accessoires pour diverses émissions de télévision. Elizabeth est associée du British Institute of Interior Design. Elle est diplômée en Architecture de la Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London, et a étudiée le Product Design à Central Saint Martins - aujourd'hui University of the Arts - Londres.

Jean has been working in set design for French cinema for over 19 years. During this time, he established his skills in carpentry and began to work on commissions for his bespoke furniture. In 2019 Jean gained his qualification as Bac Pro Menuisier Agenceur. Whilst studying he worked with an independent boat builder and was apprentice to an artisan cabinet maker where he worked on the interior fit out of a 4-star hotel. At the end of his studies Jean received a distinction and the award of ‘Major Promo’ for his year. 

Jean travaille dans la scénographie du cinéma français depuis plus de 19 ans. Durant ce temps, il a établi ses compétences en menuiserie et a commencé à travailler sur des commandes de meubles sur mesure. En 2019, Jean a obtenu son diplôme Bac Pro Menuisier Agenceur. Pendant ses études, il a travaillé avec un constructeur indépendant de bateaux et a été apprenti chez un artisan ébéniste avec qui il a travaillé à l'agencement intérieur d'un hôtel 4 étoiles. À la fin de ses études, Jean a été «Major de Promo» avec mention ‘Très Bien’.
